One simple habit to boost your self esteem

Look more in the mirror in casual situations.

Looking yourself in the mirror while taking a bath, brushing the teeth or putting body lotion increases familiarity to your own image, which will make you more comfortable to who you are. We tend to be attracted by the things we perceive as familiar.

Beware, though, to look to yourself with love and compassion, as you would look to a very dear friend. Looking more in the mirror while sustaining poor body image behavior may bring more harm than benefits, reason why some people defend mirror fasting.
